20 years running....simply amazing, it is not easy to ran a Pub business that long. A long Wufu Road, she is probably the longest there. Sakura is one of the sweetest pub owner we knew, very generous and caring person. She threw this wonderful party with Live Band and great food. As usual along Wufu Road, most of the pub owners came and supported this event. Guess living in Kaohsiung, most of our friends are in drinking business. Great Fun and Congrats to Sakura for her success.
I don't remember "Sakura", but if this is the same place, this bar was started by my good friend, Jasmine Wu in about 1991. She had been a part-owner of the Dew Drop Inn just off the Wu Fu Rd, in the same area, prior to opening her own place. Her first chef was a Canadian named Rui Cardoso, also a mate of mine. Jasmine, like me, lives in the U.S. and we stay in touch. Kaohsiung was still wild and wooly in late 1980s and early 1990s, and I still consider it my second home. Congratulations on 20+ years of business.
